Title: Area 28-6 Fishing
Post by: Dude on June 25, 2013, 10:29:17 PM
Does anyone know if Im allowed to fish in area 28-6?  according to this : http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/map-carte-eng.asp?initExtent=-13775788.342764555,6318567.3301420165,-13684369.656935448,6409680.267857981   (http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/map-carte-eng.asp?initExtent=-13775788.342764555,6318567.3301420165,-13684369.656935448,6409680.267857981)  it looks like I am however Im pretty sure Fishing from Light house park is closed.  Maybe east of that is open?  The reason I am asking is because I have family coming over and they would like to go fishing from shore throwing their lines in some salt water.  It doesnt matter what there is to catch there, but more If I am allowed to fish in that area.   CHeers

Looks like you would be fine, however I'm sure if you called DFO they would be able to clarify for you.

For area 28-6, beside DFO's regulations, you may want to find out from the City of West Vancouver where they may have specific closures along its shoreline, as well as private properties.
