There are a few more youtube videos that show people cutting open the large lantern batteries to find that there are 4 odd sized batteries.

I ripped one open at work just to see for myself there are no AA's just wierd looking batteries like said above.

lordco has a promo on batts right now 60 aa's and aaa's (30 and 30) for $19. think you need an account though. pick up two packs my self.
