Title: How long does roe last in the freezer?

If i have a tub of Roe in my freezer, can it go bad?

All depends how you took care of it and packaged it before putting it in.

I had some nasty looking smelling 2 or 3 year old roe that was re-frozen  a whole bunch of times.... and it caught fish last year !

The stinker the better.  Don't throw it out.

Depends on cure method used. I use an oldschool liquid cure, 1:1:1 mix of a cup each borox, salt, and sugar dissolved in a quart of water. Does 2 skeins nicely. You have to boil it real well to dissolve everything, once I'm done boiling I add my scents and dyes. Stores min 6 months in the fridge and 1 year in the fridge. Just used some earlier in the week with a friend that I had refrozen and then rethawed, seemed abit firmer if anything and got my buddy a nice little 3 lb steelie  :D

edit: I should add, I switched to this from the standard borax dry cure, as the roe milks wayyyyy better in case any wonder why I go through the hassle.
