Headed out to the Stave this morning to chuck around a few flies. There was a few trout raising for the natural hatch but not any of my flies.
Talked to a security guard up by the construction site who said that over the last couple of days about 50,000 steelhead smolt were dumped in the river. Lets hope the ongoing work does not effect their survival.
Anyway nice day and of course my buddy and I were the only people on the river, so delightfully different from the usual fall chum fishery.
