Title: Deletion of Gala event to save wild salmon thread
Post by: Dave on March 26, 2013, 07:15:41 PM
Why?  Surely an online warning could have kept this timely topic going, no?

I think you meant "deletion"....   that could be why no one has responded.....

If you correct the spelling I'm sure your thread has the potential to become the most popular on the forum.  ;D   ...or not.  :-\

"In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

Just a reminder to all......

I am sure the spelling is correct. We could argue the meaning of it for years, and I am sure you will.

Your'e right af, I spelled it wrong  ;)  So lets try again ...  was the exchange so bad it needed removal?

I thought it was getting tired, but not horribly offensive. I agree with the delition oops! deletion, as the topic was going nowhere.

I thought it was going places. Perhaps not in the direction some wanted to go. Was that a pick up my toys and go home trend?

Fine and dandy but I was hoping for an explanation from the moderator responsible for the deletion.

Dave, I just moved it to a hidden section, haven't had a chance to review it yet, but from what I saw briefly, it was going no where except mud slinging near the end. I may just move it back and lock it for future references after giving it a more thorough read.

Thanks Rod.
