Verrrrrry slow today which may account why there were few anglers out.

With all this new rain, has the river come up at all? I have a link to the camera but just wondering if has made any difference overall compared to the regular snowmelt going on above the dam.
Cheers

CAP REPORT. JUST GOT BACK. ITS REALLY WET OUT THERE BUT NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE SO I HAD A GOOD TIME. oops. Thats better. ;)
No fish. Dont waste your time. Learn to knit or something ;D
I fished from 6:00 till 9:00 in and around dogleg and cable pool. No coho for me, but there are definately fish moving up. Actually quite a few around, but they are not biting for whatever reason. Oh, I got my first and only steelhead of the year. A cute little guy probably just over a pound...
And now for a question. I have a fly rod (5 wt) with floating line. Would I be able to attempt to get some coho with this, and if so, what would be some recomendations from you seasoned flyfisher veterans out there (What flies, and how to fish them). Thanks,
Jon out
End communication.

I like to use olive green wooly buggers, black wooly buggers, etc. and damsel flies. For coho on the cap. I usually don't fly fish the cap but I've had some success with those flies on the cap.
-
Like Robert said, woolly buggers
-
Got into one a couple days ago on a silver spinner. Water wasn't that high maybe they just happened to be passing by. :)
-
Wooley Buggers rock!!!! i used to have a leather fly wallet that had nothing but wooley buggers in various sizes and colors. (if anyone has found a brown leather fly wallet on the Cap, keep the flies...i just want the wallet back)

Fished the Cap. this morn. from 4:30am - 6:30am in the lower end. No fish for me, but saw a well known North shore fisherman get into fish. :) I'll try again tomorrow.

Might that well known North Shore fisherman be Eric Carlisle ?
