Hi, I bought a boat in the states a while ago. I paid half the tax at the border they said I would pay the rest when I register the boat but I'm having some trouble finding the right dept . I always thought the hard part would b bringing it across the border it only took 30 min, insurance for the trailer 1.5 hrs ( it was a new girl first day I think lol) but stalled out getting the boat registered this has been a great place to ask questions so any help is appreciated thanx

Don't worry the tax dept (MOF) will be knockin on your door for the HST, you will be sent the fourms to fill out in the mail and just take them into the Govt Agents office and pay the 12% HST....
