Title: Chilliwack River, February 5th 2013
Post by: deepcovehooker on February 06, 2013, 10:28:40 AM
Arrived at the river about 7:30 AM.  Water was greenish with decent visibility but a lot of fishers out for a Tuesday morning.  Started fishing just below Lickman and worked down river on that side as far as you can go.  Hooked into one fish but did not get a good hook set so lost in quickly.  Saw one guy on the other side catch a nice wild his first ever steelhead, he could have used a little lesson on releasing fish as he pulled it out of the water, probably just shear excitement.

Headed across the river and went in at Bergman, first time there.  Hooked into one there also but it also got off but I did see the fish wave goodbye as it released itself.

I started with prawn tails, moved to a jig, then corkie and wool combo, then a small spin and glo and finished the day with a different jig.  I make my own jigs and this one I call the kitchen sink so I did throw everything at them including the kitchen sink.
