Title: Tidal Fraser River, October 17th 2012
Post by: bcguy on October 19, 2012, 08:09:25 PM
Weds night, went to the Fraser, 5 minutes later, fish on with a sizzling run or two, some good air time, and one hatchery doe to the beach.
Hung around for awhile longer and got into a few wilds, and then nothing for the rest of the night, what a great night on the river in Langley, 10 minutes from home, gotta love this time of year!!!

#4 brass spinners, #45 blue and green coho's, I find because of the murk, the presentation has to be larger.
I run into alot of barfishing guys, but they seem to only take jacks,I may not get into as many fish as the bait fishermen, but when I do its always adult coho and shockingly clean Chum.

Jacks are roe gobblers. Always had better luck getting the big boys on lures

Was either the Shimano C4 or the Phlueger medalist, both nice reels, but the Medallist just balanced out the HMX 4-15# better, picked it up specifically for targeting Coho or pinks from the banks of the Fraser. Great set up, love the action, but still has the strength to turn the occasional Chum that shows up once in a while. Good times!!! ;D
