Title: chehalis river
Post by: dave c on August 24, 2012, 02:32:32 PM
hello all: just moved to Mission. Just curious......historically when do coho show up in numbers in the  Chehalis river.  I went there two days ago to check it out.  Water level extremely low,  only found a few small pools deeper than 2 - 3 feet.  Do water levels rise much in the fall?  Tks for your response.

They are in good numbers last couple weeks of October and peak in november. The chehalis is best fished after a good rain. Only fish in there right now are in the deeper canyon pools. Mostly just colored and spawning summer chinook and steelhead. It will be a a while before its worth a look now.

Yeh gotta go up to the canyon, where the pools are close 20ft when water is lower.
