Interested in this reel as a backup, but it seems that the manufacturer is intentionally (or accidently) hidden. Any guesses?

Probably from China like the ones at "light in the box". I think most reels are made there now.

There is some blurry writing on top of the reel seat...

"Yoahlkaws made in china" or something like that.

I just get a toothy guy with a phone cam off your link. I'd treat off-brand reels as throw-aways. Rarely are there parts made available after the fact. Nothing more frustrating to learn a key part such as a worm, pawl, bail, knob, etc, is unavailable, not even have been made.... >:(
