Title: Putting a toe in the piscatorial waters... Survey closed, post edited.

I have located the gearset for the Abu "low" ratio, in ultracast spool. It's 3.8-1.
Standard ratios are 4.7, 5.3, and 6.3-1 in the round reels. (45/55/6500C3-4-5 etc) Right hand crank. Struggling to find 5501/6501 gearsets.

Edit: No repiies to general interest survey, so I'll try the classified in a few months, after a few more 6500's are destroyed this year down your way.. ;D

Were it not for Abus failing, I would be totally broke  ;D....the only time Shimmies fail is operator neglect with sand, and crud. Come to think of it, it's the same with any reel ! (Except Shimanos have 2 thing going for them.. very solid frame, and a beefier gearset)
