Title: Lafarge Lake, June 25th 2012
Post by: Rodney on June 25, 2012, 11:15:44 PM
We were down there this evening for just over an hour and most anglers were pretty successful as the lake was stocked earlier today.

Among a dozen or so rainbow trout brought to hand, I still encountered one little coho salmon, which looked more like a goldfish as it has been gaining weight sideways. These coho (appear to be landlocked) have to be released by the way.

I also noticed a few fish heads in the water. Please don't chop your fish's heads off at the lake as they need to remain on the fish until you arrive home. It also does not look nice to have heads littered in the shallow water at an urban lake.

Enjoy the fishing if you decide to head out there. GoFishBC is hosting a learn to fish session for kids at this lake on Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Register through the Coquitlam Leisure Guide if your kid is interested.
