I'm switching the other way, what's happening in the river over winter?
For the chuck, anywhere in the harbor could be good, but south end of Bowen should heat up real soon.

Well the Vedder has been quite good. Even landed a couple of bull trout spoon fishing. Mid river.. Thanks for the reply. Just a rookie on this site.

when someone says the "river" the only one I think of, is the Fraser.
I don't fish the Vedder anymore.
are you shore fishing the chuck or in a boat?

Sorry, yes the vedder! I know it does get tiring sometimes with all the people but I can't stop thinking about steelhead. Always trying to find new water away from the hordes. Anyways, fishing the salt from a boat. Moored in port moody. I trolled a lot in Juan de fuca straight but not sure where to start around here. Also have had lots of success with crabbing but the prawns are elusive! I think I'll have to try Bowen for Salmon and prawns. Have been prawning in the arm without success. A few here and there, so they are around but not in any numbers....
