After one dismal trip to Kawkawa Lake (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/region_two/kawkawa_lake.html) a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to use up this tub of krill that has been freshly cured up with Pautzke Bait Fire Cure (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/advertiser/pautzke/index.html) so it doesn't end up sitting in the freezer for another year. I hopped over to Sasamat Lake (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/region_two/sasamat_lake.html) last evening for a couple of hours and found a few newly stocked fish at the end of the line. The rolls seemed to start happening after 7:00pm. I went back this evening and did a bit better by floating krill under a tiny Drennan. The bites were consistent for 30 minutes after 7:00pm. Both newly stocked fish from Tuesday and bigger fish that have been in the lake since last year were caught. After not fishing this lake for almost ten years, it's nice to return and experience this type of fishing again.
