Title: Newbie question?
Post by: hillbros_96 on February 12, 2012, 06:12:21 PM
I have been looking in at the forum for the last couple of months as I am in the process of finishing off a purchase of a home a block off the chilliwack/vedder.  I have been impressed on the quality of the forum and the help that is available.

My main question is what bait is used with the center pin?  I am trying to decide which reel/rod combination to go with for this fishery.

Thank you for the help.

You can use the same kind of bait/lure for bait caster or centerpin. It is just your preference.

As for bait/lure, I use yarn, jensen eggs, colorado blades, pink worms, roe, roebags, jigs.....it is just endless!!!

To cast and retrieve spinners and spoons I find a center pin is not ideal.otherwise it's all game. Fishing roe bags, jigs and pink worms can be very effective and not messy .you are lucky to be so close to the flow.you won't be a newbie for long! ;D
