I did a search, I don't think anyone has posted about this previously.
I recently watched a documentary called The End of the Line about the state of the current world fisheries. Some very interesting and concerning information. Anyone else seen it? For those with Netflix you can find it on there. There is also a website you can check out: http://endoftheline.com/

My computer skills are lacking in the hyper-link area. Go on Google or what ever your search engine is and type in "Letmewatchthis".Open up the web page and you will find a box where you can type in the name of the movie you are looking for.The movie poster will come up,cliick on it and it will give you various links to watch the movie "The End of the Line". Maybe one of the computer wizards can give you a link from this site.

I basically stopped eating any kind of wild fish after watching this movie.
Interesting tidbit: Suzuki corporation is stockpiling tuna in anticipation of the species extinction and ensuing skyrocketing prices. Maybe something to consider the next time you're in the market for an outboard..

I hear meat gets better with age, but I wonder just how much fish they intend to keep and for how long ;D

For those that are interested a good follow-up to this documentary is one called Tapped (http://www.tappedthemovie.com/). It talks about the affect bottled water has on our world. The major themes being that most bottled water (in the US at least) is unregulated and is just filtered municipal tap water, the harmful chemicals used in producing the bottles the water come in, and for the fishing component there is a focus on the ocean gyres (http://5gyres.org/) and the ridiculous concentration of plastic that is growing exponentially (49:1 plastic particle:plankton ratio). Again, I found the movie on NetFlix.
