Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Rod had an exclusive deal with them?... something about how he found a wife or something using their services?? ??? ???
;D

Not a fan at all myself, ??? Liked the advertisements before, but the new ones have gone down hill, no need for trashy 'sex sells' type ads IMO

I must be trained to tune out the ads. Never noticed them. Sorry Rod, as I am sure that is not what the advertisers want to hear.

Just out of curiosity... i thought those banner ads was something that you've recently searched on your computer. For example, i was searching for a aquarium filter couple months back and i came on this site and there were ads for aquarium filters. :D

Yep. Some banner ads you see on the website are contextual advertisements, which appear on the page based on either the page's content or what the visitor has been searching for on the web to cater each individual's interests.

Apparently a new hot wife ;)...or maybe my wife is looking for a new hot husband :o

I haven't seen any ads like described either. Went to the home page and pressed refresh 100 times.

It's a bit of big brother computer program, tracking all the websites you visited, and then coming up with related banner ads. You must have been searching for match.com, or plenty of fish or something ;D. My banner ads are pretty boring, fishing gear ads, economist, stock tips, sports jerseys ... etc. Ads of a married man :)

Now I'm getting the Planet Love match ad, by just reading/participating in this thread. Darn computer tracker! And no I didn't go to any of those websites. My work computer is secretly monitored by company software.
-
I can also filter or block ads that I don't wish to be published on the site. I just added Planet Love Match to the list so none of you are going to hook up now.

great , where can i find my fishing girlfriend now ? thanks alot

Out of curiosity...is any revenue generated by us seeing the ad or does it need to be clicked on?

Both, depending on the ad campaign. If anyone has more questions regarding on advertising on this site, please feel free to email me at info@fishingwithrod.com.
