Title: mountain whitefish in winter?

hey everybody i just want to know if anybody fishes for/catches a lot of whitefish during the winter on the alouette. anyways any tips would be appreciated

Speaking for myself I would target them on the fly when I was starting out, pretty easy fishing with the odd cutthroat mixed in.

im targeting them just for a fun little scrap on the 5wt im wanting to try little single egg patterns

I was targeting bulls on the upper Chilliwack today. Managed to land a few rainbows, a nice chunky whitefish, and even a Steelie that snapped his way off. All on different colours and sizes of egg patterns.

--caught lots in the thompson on single egg pattern but they will take most fly's even dry
--similkameen allows bait in winter I think most use maggots so smaller fly on sink tip would work as well.
--most caught on a dead drift
