First let me say that I didn't know Fred's used twitter but good on them for keeping up with the times.
It's been nice to see all of the shops ramping up their social media presence.
That being said Fred's just tweeted a 6# steelie came out of the river today.
-
That's great news. I can't wait to get out there again.
-
Fred's Twitter for anyone who is looking for it:

How in the hell did anyone catch a fish out of the Vedder?
Has it dropped/cleaned up that much already?!
-
According to the report section on Freds site, the river is in beautiful shape.
-
Each person describes water conditions differently :D. At about 1 pm I thought the visibility was about 12 " and dropping fast. Very fishable.
-
take freds reports for what their worth, they post the rivers on fire when its in flood stage ::)
-
sounds like a typical freds report now that the shop is hurting for numbers since all the salmon are gone........
-
some dude bonks a dolly, on the upper river, calls it a steelhead and then goes to freds to brag.... sounds about right lol
-
Was just in Freds, the Steelhead was caught by a local angler well known and on the water ALOT, he had pics as well.
Best part was he caught it on one of my jigs, a "pinky".
My earliest was on November 27th, hooked 2 that day. That particular year was a good early run, got 2 fish on December 5th as well and the derby weighed in quite a few that season on boxing day.

The first report of a steelhead being caught is late this year. ;D ;D ;D
-
the first steelhead I know of were caught almost 2 weeks ago
I stand corrected. ;D ;D ;D
-
I was searching hard on Saturday but found none.
