Title: Off season project.
Post by: Bone on November 28, 2011, 11:43:04 AM
Hey everyone, just wanted to share my new Fly Fishing off season project I'm working on. Just want to see your thoughts on products like these. I know the economy is unstable so I don't know if a luxury items are on peoples holiday lists. I have some new product ideas in production , but if you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there your products are nice but what do they have to do with fly fishing? Also your logo is bold and black and your description paragraph is lite grey and right on top of it. Try making your logo layer on the graphic a little more transparent similar to the fish graphic or just place it off to the side.

edit: just saw the fly wallets and they are very nice and look to be well made. Also re-read some of your wording on the site, it could use a little tweaking  :)

I agree with brysonk - the wording on the Fly Wallets page is hard to read due to the logo.  But then, the text is not on the right hand side of the page as is done on the majority of the other pages.  Same with your home page.

However - nice niche.

There is an error in your "About us" page. The sentence should read "We believe " and not we believes".

Nice looking stuff. I would love a cell phone case, but the prices are a bit steep for me.

I hate to agree but the other fellas are correct in there constructive criticism. Hard to read due to the logo. However nice looking work indeed. Cheers

Thanks for all the feed back guys. I just realized that some of the text is over lapped on some of the pages. Due to cross browser tech mumbo jumbo via Mac and PC.

I'm glad I had some honest feedback.

cheers

buddy, you need to craft up some reel pouches, something that would fit a 4"-5" pin reel. That would be tight. nice craftsmanship on the other stuff too.

I did not have the same problem reading the site (looks fine in Firefox on a Mac).  I agree with Hue-nut, though, some fly reel pouches would probably sell better than the fly wallets for that price.

It's good quality stuff. It's expensive, but that's ok.
You have a nice product.
I do however think that you shouldn't target fishermen.
I personally wouldn't take a fly wallet and a phone case that's not waterproof.
If this is suede, it's going to get mushy after a while. This stuff is more for "fine dining" type merchandise.
We are not connoisseurs of such fine things :)
You could try exclusive wardrobe stores for more "refined" clientelle.
 ;D ;D

Great ideas guys. I will have to try to make some reel cases.

As for the leather its water proofed with wax and oil.
