WOW! what a great day on the river. Fly Fishing All day. We couldnt keep the coho's and chums of our flies. To top it off they was barely anyone on the river.. I have never had a day like this on the vedder not even floating roe..

great to hear that
how's coho? fresh or mostly dark? red?
if there are more fresh ones I would love to drive 100km again.......... ::)

must have hit it just right hey mistermongz. Care to share a fly that did well?
I went out today without even a sniff. tried 3 spots. only seen a couple of fresh fish roll other than that was all expired chum :(
-
all coho's were fresh, some of the chums were pretty fresh as well... flies that worked great for me and they had no problem chasing them as i stripped them in were, rolled muddlers in any color, mickey finns mainly in a blue green mix and purple egg sucking leeches

Excellent post! Thanks for the go to flies. :) I've finally been out with the fly for salmon this year. I love it! It takes you away from all the float fishers. ;)
Were you up high or down low?

Mickey finns are red under and yellow over wings.
The blue over green wing is called a Kelsey's Hope. Add some flash into either pattern and they can be killer for almost all types of salmon.
Good to hear the Cheddar is still producing.

i was out yestaeray to and still lots of coho around and lots of them were fresh and willing to bite, only saw 4 people all day i think that helped though, also tons of chum some very chrome. was fly fishing catching tons of chum then hooked a spring and snapped my rod so went to the pin and fished jigs and jensen eggs nd couldnt keep the hoes and chum off. was fishing upper/mid river.
