The book is excellent.

FWIW, fishing is the leitmotif, but the story goes way beyond fishing itself.

Gotta agree Milo - I have recommended this book to several of my freinds as I consider it to be up there with Haig- Brown and Geirach (but different ...)

Post by: troutbreath on November 13, 2011, 10:05:10 PM: I didn't like the way he always killed the fish he caught. I'ts a freaking movie, but still killing everyfish he caught. Also it was little too wholesome without the f word being bantied about like it usualy is when your out fishing. But yah watch it with your little kid and knowone's going to get to upset about the mindless slaughter of all those supposedly steelhead. Weird thing is the guy would be catching these 16 or 20 inch fish. Then come home walking through the door with a stringer of 8 or 9 inch fish. A big WTF is with that.

I watched a few minutes and still haven't seen the naked thing. Guess I am not patient enough. :-[
