Fishing the north side of the Fraser now.

Fishing has been fantastic on the North Side. Hit about a dozen or so coho and over a dozen chum. Fish are in great shape. I will be out Friday again.

Just to clarify...do you mean "North Arm" of the Fraser when you say "North side..." or are you referring to some other location?

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

North side of the Fraser is usually referring to the stave, Harrison and all the rivers/streams in between. Some of these spots are fairly small and people do not like to mention specific locations.

that is totally correct. North side refers to every river from say the lower Pitt river all the way through to the small systems before region 3  ;)

Im glad to see noone is singling out any specific river except for the Stave. been nice and quiet on the two systems i have hit so far and by the gravel im pretty sure which system you got that gorgeous coho from  ;D

I was out on the "north side" and fishing was fantastic. Catching was not! but I did get 1 to the beach after lots and lots of hiking in search of the right water. thats actually what made the fishing fantastic. Love november fishing. :)

Sure lure even more people to the Stave  ;D
All the rivers including the North side are mentioned in the DFO Freshwater Regulations anyways, so you can the read it there and google map them after.

I was on the north side today.  I missed a couple of coho then I had a dark male abou 10 pounds on for a good two minutes.  He was up and down the pool, bt I couldn't land him.  My reel decided to pack it in when he it so I could ot reel in and line.  I could have beached him but he was far too dark to keep and could have been wild for all I could tell since I could not get the last 25 feet of line in unless I did it by hand.  Switched to my spin rod but then the stream blew out.

Dropped by the Stave and my buddy had two dime bright chum on the back.  The were seriusly chrome.  That being said it had slowed dwn on the chum front preople said.  I grabbed my spin and fly rods and looked for coho.  Saw a few dark ones jump but no success for me.

Fun day nonetheless, just a few less fish than my last two or three trips.
