Just in case you feel the earth shake tomorrow morning. This may be the reason why:
"Quarter-mile-wide asteroid coming close to Earth"
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - An asteroid bigger than an aircraft carrier will dart between the Earth and moon on Tuesday - the closest encounter by such a huge rock in 35 years.
The asteroid is not expected to hit the earth or the moon but will pass in between the two. Will be interesting to see if there are any side effects that will be felt.

EVERYONE DUCK!!!!! ::)

side effects, or ripple effects like trowing a rock in the lake.
-
You forgot to mention that the asteroid will be an estimated 300,000 kilometers away from earth. IMO not even news worthy..
-
who knows how far the ripple effects go. We should be able to start feeling them soon.

Depends on your sense of scale, seems like a long way standing on Earth but not in the scale of our solar system, from the Earth to the Sun is 90 odd million miles

That's actually closer than when the moon is closest to the Earth..
I wonder how this will affect the Salmon stocks... ::)
On a side note - wonder where on the earth one could (or if) see it.
