my earliest steelhead was last seasons on dec.8 from the upper chilliwack river while fishing for late run chum and coho.

Dec. 31st last year, but I usually dont start fishing for them until Boxing Day..

i saw one beauty buck caught dec 15th 2yrs ago in the upper vedder. its was about 15lbs. i got a 1lbs bull trout instead! ;D

Earliest I have seen one was Oct 12; earliest I have hooked one Nov 14; earliest I have landed one Dec 1. All about 35 years ago.

Dec 2 around 1990 15 lb hatchery buck Peach Rd....the reason I remember it so well was that a german tourist watched me land it and wanted a picture taken of himself holding it. So I took a pic of him while it was bleeding all over his pants..his wife was furious...but he had a big smile on his face..I guess that why we call them smileys

I'm a late bloomer...earliest fish caught was January 31.
So much so that I don't even bother heading out before the end of January.
Much too cold.
It never hurts to take a few weeks off fishing to reorganize.

Have a pair of boxing day fish, both wild however :P usually head out once before to scout and fish from boxing day on :)

Earliest hooked Dec 18, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31. But due to freezing conditions and luck, I wasnt so lucky on all of them. I know a buddy who landed one the first week of december last year.
I dont usually start the hunt till mid december, and always part take in the holiday gong show around christmas. :P

haha, I geuss your right. You have some good luck when it comes to steelhead, even pulled one out ocean fishing.... :o

Hooked one in my first 30 minutes on Jan 1st 2011, lost it just in front of me. Have gone about 24+ hours without so much as a SNIFF. Still looking for my first Vedder Steelhead...

Your efix data is Completly wrong. I use a program pixelgarde on all photos posted on the Internet and Facebook.Photos are actualy taken with a Samsung fe280. ::). And uploaded to laptop then to iphone simcard Btw the spot does look very close though good eye. But I believe the fish with the worm is a buck and the long slender fish is a doe .
