I decided to venture out to Squamish today even though it was frosty
There were three vehicles parked up which gave me some encouragement
I made my way down to the river and noticed it was very low in fact the lowest I have ever seen it :o
There were a couple of guys fly fishing (made me wish I had took my fly rod) :-\
I tried everything I had spinners, spoons, wool and even jigs but to no avail
There were a few fish jumping and a seal that came by that seemed to move them on
I saw two chum caught on spey rods but that was it
Man was it cold out there
guess it needs some rain
was nice to be out though

Sorry to hear that Squamish is so slow.
But it did have a fantastic pink run this summer. :)

Yes, the Squamish is very slow. I walk the river every day and fish a couple of times a week, different spots on the Squamish and the Cheakamus. Yesterday 3 hours of fishing, not a single bite. Saw 2 fish hooked within that time by guys fly fishing. 2 fish in 3 hours among 8 guys.... that tells you how good (!) it is...

It should improve a bit, I think.

It was a bit better 3 weeks ago or so. I don't think it is going to improve much. Lots of chum already turning, and given last year's run, I am not sure how many more fish are going to move into the system. There could be the odd coho wave coming through like last fall, even very late.
