try a small piece of piece of peach wool the size of your pinkie nail with a dot of orange, works the best if you tie it on a vise to get it in a good egg shape.

Definitely, otherwise you stand a good chance of snagging these fish. I find that fishing small water usually means smaller presentations as well. Also make sure that you adjust the size of your hook to the smaller wool presentation.

Try using a jensen egg along with a tiny piece of wool. If you can find some roe or bait that would be even better.

as long as there's no bait ban where you're fishing

There's unscented jensen eggs suitable for streams with bait bans.

Fake single eggs tied into a cluster, I use four, work well. Use google images to learn.  And all the advice given previously is worth trying as well.

Or GLX on the forum here sells excellent unscented single eggs.

Anyone that quotes a post that describes or names a "small system" is just as responsible as the original poster for creating added pressure on said system. If you feel required to post a response, DO NOT quote the name. You'd think this would be common sense but obviously it is not.

Killer_Fisher: Normally it is considered bad form to name small systems on the internet. You may not realize this, but simply posting a name of a river on this or any other forum will attract fisherman that may not have know that the river holds fish. The same rule applies to naming individual runs on larger rivers.

I wonder why certain areas receive so much pressure.
