Title: Stave River, October 10th 2011
Post by: typhoon on October 10, 2011, 07:45:03 PM
Ridiculous day on the Stave today with more than 50 fish hooked between 3 of us. No chromers but no rotten fish either. Those chum are just unbelievably strong.
We fished several of the islands from first light until mid afternoon. Short floating pink/purple marabou jigs with lots of sparkle was definitely the ticket.
No chum were foul hooked by anyone in sight and we didn't see a flosser. Several chrome gutted does were left at the shore when the jet boats left. I couldn't say who was the culprit.
No coho were seen, though my buddy released a small jack that he couldn't identify.

careful admitting you cant ID a fish on this forum, it seems to irritate a lot of armchair experts who have nothing better to do than b***h and moan!

He didn't identify it because it was still dark and he had no intention of keeping it.
