not that I would eat one but has anyone tried fishing for carp at deas island park? ???
-
Yes, I saw some small one (around 1 to 2 lbs) being caught at Sep three years ago. He used worm for bait.

On the opposite side of the Highway, there is a good spot.
Take Hwy 99 south. Take the first exit (River Road) after you go through the tunnel. Just before the stop sign is a good spot. There are big carp there.
Good Luck, John

The better carp fishing is in ladner sloughs. Caught a fair share in there over the years.
-
thanks guys...ladner sloughs...where would be a good place and when would you say is a good season to try?
-
Carp are both filter feeders and resident fish. Imagine with every inhale you take, you eat a meal. That is basically what carp do. They are around all the time and although food is probably more ample for them in the summer, not to mention the warmer temperature is likely in their fvavor to make them more active, it would be worth a try right now. let us know how you do!

went around looking for spots over the holidays...captains cove doesnt really work since the dock is busy with all kinds of people driving over your line...
tried deas island, much better access but no takers...perhaps it comes down to wrong season again
