according to weather report, big rain is coming tonight
how does that affect the fishing in lower fraser?

Hopefully should push some more fish in the river.

Looks like the Chilliwack forecast is just for light rain. Anyone know a better forecast to view than Chilliwack for Vedder river conditions?

im not looking forward to this heavy rain >:( of course it happens the day before i leave for a 4 day vedder trip. ah well it should clear up in a couple days and they will be lots of fresh fish, hopefully a good push of hoes.

So the river visablitiy in rain will still allow fishing for pinks using spoons? Any tips on needing to get bigger size spoons in rain conditions?

Water visibility in the tidal portion of the Fraser River generally is not affected by local rain, unless it really rains a lot (like in early October 2003). Water visibility down here is usually impacted by rain up north in late summer and fall, and seasonal snowpack in spring.

If the clay banks hold up, visibility will be fine.
If they slide, it will be muddy and any method of fishing will pretty much be tantamount to snagging.
Sure, always good to have a few larger spoons in the arsenal. If not for pinks then for the big guys lurking in deeper water.
