Hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the fishing around sumallo grove in the sumallo river is like.

i fish the sumallo in sunshine valley everyweekend and get tons of rainbows from 4-20" and lots of dollies and bulls from 6"- 6 lbs.
best way to fish em is 6wt flyrod with an indacator couple small splitshots and nymps. also tiny dries. and casting leeches into the slow deep pools.

The day use area is one, but the river is accessible from multiple points along Highway 3.

fishgutz, your alive.... the day use park is called sumallo grove. its on the right hand side just past the old burnt up sumallo gas station. park in the lot and there is a pretty nice pool. make sure to take lots of pictures that system gets me a bit excited. i plan on running the pontoon down it. take it easy and tight lines
