Title: Non-tidal Fraser River, September 3rd 2011
Post by: odesseus on September 03, 2011, 02:52:46 PM
Was up EARLY today to fish one of my favorite bars on the upper Fraser; arrived on the scene at the crack of ridiculous in the dark. Found myself standing waist deep in the water shoulder to shoulder waiting for the light to come up enough to start casting. We weren't dissapointed however as the bite was on....many many springs landed (still lots of chrome), also some nice looking sockeye and a few humpies. One lucky fellow took his first Fraser river spring ever at 28-30lbs with a tail big enough to shovel snow! Great fellowship too; guys respecting the call of 'fish on' and making way. With the river running lower, there is much more room to fish up and down. Some garbage on the walk but most everyone packing away garbage, line etc; eveyone pitching in and keeping a clean house. All in all, an awesome start to the long weekend and was home by 8:45 with a full creel.

Tight lines!
