Does anyone have any info on these two places for the pinks. I have my three little girls with me this weekend and want to take them out for pinks from shore or off my boat. thanks
-
the squamish has pinks although the run is slowing down now and there not as fresh but still plenty available.
-
Haven't been to the Squamish in weeks, I've heard the bulk of the run is in already. No knowledge of cates...
-
if you are just out to catch fish, then squamish is awesome, i took my girls out there as well and they got their first salmon. it's a nice place and it should be pretty quiet now that the fraser is starting with fresh fish.

pinks show up in cates 1st week of august but this year they dident stop to feed so its over.

How you know that they didn't stop there or won't yet? Just curious is all, as I don't know a great deal about Salmon and their travel patterns.

i know cause i live 5 mins from cates, and the pinks are already in the indian river.
-
Ditto, when they were there they were 100 yards off shore. Am sure someone got into some but I checked it out nearly every week early morning for the first few weeks of August and I only ever saw two in casting range.
-
would the fish be staging at the mouth of the indian river or are they already in the system
-
i caught one at the top of the arm nearly two weeks ago hasnt been much rain so maybe... fish finder showed lots of fish on the troll up but no takers

Yah i headed up to indian river fished the incoming tide no fresh fish moving into the river i dont know if the seals got them or the run is small or already over.
