Title: [Fishing Report] Scale Bar Aug 30th 2011 -- brutal!!
Post by: zabber on August 30, 2011, 01:10:33 AM
Fished Scale today. It was super slow for everyone. Got one sock in 3-4 hours; most guys had the same luck.

Last week was way better; limiting out in under an hour, a fish on every 3-4 casts.

Apparently the commercial opening on Friday is to blame. D@mn commies  :D

i was fishing scale monday 3hrs 7-10 got my two, but it was getting slower when i left and the crowd was building to weekend levels as not many leaving as trying for their 2. some springs also landed. with all the fleet out this week will not be good.hope they leave it open after labour day weekend as the late run should enter the river.

Hopefully they close it for the long weekend. I am surprised its been open this long considering the run is not near the size of last year.

?? Not exactly brining up an old thread...

I just read here -- http://www.fishingwithrod.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=20181.0 -- that this should have been posted in the reports section... Maybe a mod can delete the thread for me?

Given that he has no access to the reports section,  he's posting his report here.  As time goes on, he will have enough posts and begin posting in the reports section over time.

All the fish I take home are hooked in the mouth; as in, the cavity in the face.

Fished hooked anywhere else (including those "flossed," with a hook in the side of the head) are released, as per the regs.

I doubt that they will as the seine netting has been going like mad out in the straight. This is pretty sad especially since there is a local river were they are trying to bring back an almost endangered run of sockeye and they only got back 3 sockeye this year  :'(

You're supposed to use wool?

Haha, j/k; bright pink ftw -- the humpies love it.

BTW, I'm loving the sig Geff: "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will phone in sick to work and fish all day." Hits home :p
