Do they go to capilano river or any other rivers?
shore fishing any good?
-
Never seen one in the cap, although heard there was a couple of lost sox in the seymour last year.
Best bet is in the tidal fraser. No run to speak of on the north shore or howe sound.
-
that part is not opened yet.. :(
-
I have heard that furry freek has a bar or beach something like that, any good?
-
Guess you need to wait a couple of days (or find a buddy with a boat!)
-
So the Fraser non-tidal section is not open for sockeye yet. Right? One friend called me & said it is open, but the latest notices seem to say wait for later annoucements. Let's hope they open the Harrison too for those who don't want to bounce for them. Those socx there take krills on float. ;)

Has anyone actually caught any sockeye up the indian arm?
-
never seen or heard of any sockeye in indian arm.
-
and no there are no sockeye in howe sound...no sockeye return to the squamish. you're thinking pinks maybe

Sockeyes in the Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm?
I can't imagine which river these socks could be headed unless they are taking a detour before heading up the Fraser.
I guess anyone lucky enough to catch one can keep one. ;D

a few sox return to the squamish actually

Really? That's awesome, but at the same tome a bit sad because they are probably so few and of a great conservation concern. I've never seen one caught up there!
