Title: Spring Fishing in the Fraser
Post by: fishbuster on July 30, 2011, 01:04:51 PM
Has anybody been out fishing for springs in the upper fraser in the last week?  Freshwater portion of the river. Is it fishable or is the water still to high and fast?

Unless your flossing them good luck. Still too high and dirty for barfishing.

Get over it. Every year people complain about this topic.
People are introduced to flossing by friends and think it is great.
Some realize after a while what they are actually doing is not fishing and move on to other ways.

I say snag away.  Watched the FN drifting all day Saturday taking 3 to 5 sockeye every drift as well as springs..

Times that by the number of drifts per day and the number of nets on the river.....

Want to complain about something, go change what is happening with that fishery.

Two wrongs don't make a right  >:(

If you can't trick a fish to bite your offering, maybe your not too good of an angler and should maybe take up golf instead.  :-\

Remember, it's called fishing, not flossing, and flossing aint fishing. ::)

The sad thing is, the meat hungry, so called anglers will still do it because they have the lame  "it's legal" regulation still in effect. The regs should be changed drastically IMO.

;D ;D ;D I will attempt to not make any more comments this year but one more under fishing reports later but Betley sums it up on this topic that I admit has been beaten to death. Heading fishing shortly where no TOW ers exist. ;D ;D ;D

fishbuster, judging by the pointless banter in all the replies, I think it kind of answers your question, fishing is slow. ;) Time to lock another thread that has been derailed by the F words. :)
