Went there bright and early this morning for 6am. Between 6:15am and 7am we saw about 12 fish coming right out of the water! I have only been there about 4 times but this was by far the most fish i have seen surfacing. Stayed till about 9am and got 3 small bites, no fish. The fish kept suracing all morning but i stopped counting after 7am,lol. Anyone else been there lately and had any luck? It is a post card like setting when the sun is coming up for sure. Today the water was a little more calm too so that was nice.

Where is this Edgewater Bar, sounds photogenic ???

Langley, it was formerly known as Muench Edgewater. Now it's called Derby Reach if I'm not mistaken.

NO, no you cant !! ::)
seriously though you cant because its not a rocky bottom but is muddy and your weight will just get stuck.

How far were they from shore? Can you tell what type of fish they were?

Thx Fish Assassin, I've been to Derby Reach just didn't know it by this other name of Edgewater Bar, very nice spot with camping right there, I heard from campers at the sight that it fishes well. :)

Derby Reach / Edgewater Bar is more than just the area West of the campground.
If you follow the road East there are a few places you can get to the Fraser.
Or, go to "The Old Fort" and park there. There is a building with a parking lot and you cross the road and follow the trail to the river.
It is a large sand bar that runs to the campground area.
I've seen a sturgeon caught from under the log booms last time there was a big run of pinks a few years back.
Nice area!!
