Title: Capilano River, July 20th 2011

River has been good lately! The unusually rainy July has provided some great times at the Cap this summer and just thought to let some of you know that I've seen good numbers of fish moving through for the last couple of days.I'm gonna head down before work this morning and hopefully get into a few. A chrome pink was caught yesterday.

I caught a 3 pinks  a few years ago (not chrome).

There is no real pink run in the Cap, just a few strays.

I got few pinks down stream Cap two years ago.

that is interesting!
so, contrary to what I was told, Cap has a pink run.  I wonder how big that is?
And what about sockeye?

ive seen pinks at the lower end.

There was an article in the sun as I recall calling pinks, the pacific salmon of the future.  They have poor tracking of their natal river compared to the other salmon and there for are constantly expanding their range as the article outlined.  So yes, they are strays, be pretty hard in a river like the cap for them to get a foot hold so dont hold your breath waiting for a run of them.

PS I am 95% sure i saw one in the cable pool yesterday.
