Title: CTV BC TV NEWS today had report of improved "fish farm" pen.
Post by: arimaBOATER on July 06, 2011, 05:57:51 PM
The present fish farms have a net as the salmon's pen...but today on the CTV BC news had a report of an ENCLOSED fish farm pen.

It also filters & collects all the fish waste...then drys it ..then it gets used as a compost on the land.
Check out the CTV BC 6pm & I assume it will be on tonight's 11:30 news.

I won't be satisfied until they move the farmed salmon into tanks up on shore. Coldwater species or not, it's very possible. After all, hatcheries do it. ???

Ding ding ding!  We have a winner!!

Investors/entrepreneurs: If you want to farm salmon, be prepared to pay the expense of having dry-land tanks.
