Alot of us like to fish off a bridge wharf or off the side of a dock.
Must say in my past yrs where fishing was more of my lifestlye did catch my fair amount from those locations.
Seen some big salmon taken casting from docks.
Fish caught off bridges but it is a test to actually land the fish...small fish NO PROBLEM.
There is a new bridge in China that is 36km (22 miles long).....guess it would be easy to find a spot to fish off it ;D
Take your position anywhere's in the 36 km !!!

PART 2 ................
ironically went by the wharf at the end of #3 Rd (Richmond BC) & about 5 people were still fishing.
One chap said a sturgeon was caught earlier.
Over by the dog park (east of #3 Rd) a seal was splashing about a few times in the Fraser R. Normally that means it has caught a fish.
Then the wharf at the end of #2 had alot of people fishing off it.
Very high tide in the pm so possibly that is why more people tried their "fortunes".
Oh yes also some fishing from the shore on dyke rd just wwest of #5 Rd.
Good to see all the people out doing their "thing".
