Hit Roche Lake in the first week of June for our annual fishing derby.
This year the fishing was pretty good with the top fish being 4.2 lbs, the second place fish 3.11 and the third place fish being 3.1
Usually the chironomid fishing does pretty good but the water was deep and so were the fish. Tough to chironomid in the thirty foot depth.
Most fish caught on damsels, scuds and leeches.
The winner not only got a reel this year but also a trophy carved by one of my buddies.

Caught a bunch of 2-3 lbers on a very small white damsel fly this year. Can't say enough about the lowe 1448 boat I just bought as well. Can't beat a 70 inch beam.
