Just keep in mind that if you do,check your regs to make sure you're not on a flyfishing only lake or stream ;)

-- Havent on flies yet but might give it a try in a catch and keep fishery.
--I sometimes use scent when fishing for kokanee on spoons or plugs.. many hoochie style attractors .
--I use anise as well as shrimp and crayfish, should work on small attractor fly behind a sling blade or mini dodger.

--Thinking about it though, there might be some scent on silicone sprays and other floatants used on dry's... I never thought that by applying floatants I may have been adding a scent that was attracting fish and was not the intention of using the floatant, but I guiess it could be conscidered scent.

Mike that was one of the things I covered in the class you missed.

You don't want to put scent on your flies, it turns them into a sticky blob. If you want to use scent put it on your leader and tippet. With scent you are trying to create a scent trail, so putting it on your leader will do the trick. WD40 works as good as any.
