Hey guys and gals

i have heard rumours of bass in the pitt meadow waterways (sturgeon slough and katzie slough) and i was wondering if you could fish the pitt podler/ grant narrows area

yes you can. just remember barbless hooks in fresh water. all those spots you named have some bass...lower alouette 2. best o'luck

where are there public spots to park in the area

you'll just have to search around (or hope someone who knows more replies, lol), since its been a long time since i have fished that area. your best bet it to park along the road at one of the dykes and either walk/bike along until you find a decent spot to fish. best of luck.

Parking is easy there.
there is a parking lot at grand narrow park, also, you can park along the road near the dyke.

To clarify, generalizing that you must use barbless hooks in freshwater is incorret. You can use barbed hooks in lakes provided there is no specific restriction for that body of water. From the regs "Use barbed hooks or a hook with more than one point in any river, stream, creek or slough in B.C. (Note: the use of barbed hooks in lakes is permitted, unless noted in the Regional Water-Specific Tables)"

Sturgeon and Katzie are sloughs so yes, they are barbless.

you are correct. i meant to say barbless hooks in streams  :P thats what i get for rushing :/
