Title: Rolley Lake, May 1st 2011
Post by: troutbreath on May 01, 2011, 09:02:12 PM
Joined the mob out fishing the lake. As I  got ready in the parking lot, the word was things were bad. No bites, skunked, s*7T ALL. After a few trolls arfound the I managed to catch some fish. Not saying I was doing better than everyone just saying that I managed to land a few fish on differant setups. 8)

Get out there and manage your own. :)

I rarely put any stock in the negative reports of others. When I hear the old line of "The bite is off", The fish aren't hungry today" etc; I ask the other angler or anglers what they were trying. After they tell me I make a mental note of what not to try. Except in vary rare cases fish have to feed within a twenty four hour period; taken to the extreme they will die.  Learn the general menu for your chosen waters, for each season, and you should be able to catch fish; many when conditions are good fewer when conditions are bad.
