I had a chance to fish it for a couple of hours on Monday. It's usually at least one hour drive from my place so I don't normally fish it unless I am in the area. It was pretty nice, only a few people around and fish could be seen rising occasionally. It seems like they were chasing fry around so every now and then the risers would show up in front of me. I managed to hook two, but both popped off the hook as soon as they showed themselves on the surface. I was sure that they were cutthroat trout, but they could have been whitefish since they fell off the hook so easily. Minnow patterns did the trick on the 5wt outfit. The weather wasn't too bad, there was a big dark cloud above me the whole time, so fish were not too cautious. The hail storm was a bit intense at times.
