Title: Chilliwack River, March 18th 2011
Post by: VAGAbond on March 18, 2011, 08:57:39 PM
Fished from KWB up to the cedar run.   Nada.

On the way home we took a quick look in at On The Way.   Here comes a gentleman following a fish downstream with his buddy lending support.   They landed it in front of us, a wild fish   It was time to let it go by the time we reached the site so we only got a quick look, no pictures, but oh my, what a fish.   First estimate was 16 lb.  no probably 18.    At home I compared it to a 19 lb fish I have on the wall and the one we saw was more robust in every respect.  Probably 20 ++ !  On a jig.

I did a bit better than you, I involuntarily released a fish after ten casts. ;D :-\

Lovely day, didn't rain, avoided the morning gust and crowd by showing up at 2pm. ;D

I saw two other fish killed when we arrived. River condition was great IMO.
