Title: Bass Flies
Post by: Geff_t on March 15, 2011, 08:26:23 AM
Well I finally got on the bench again to start doing some tying. I starting tying up some MOAL leeches both for steelhead and for bass. I then wanted to see about making a MOAL leech that could be used for some top action so this is what I came up with. It is the Mother Of All Boobies so I call it the Dolly Parton lol .

And here is one with legs

No need to go that far. we have some of the best bass fishing around right here in the Lower Mainland. There will be a bass clinic coming up soon(first weekend of May). Watch for details on this site.

Since Bass has been brought up on the other board too. Here is something to chew on:

Larry Kurosaki:   holds several world records for fly caught bass. His latest and best 16lb 12oz on an 8lb tippet. Fly used; Larry's Minnow. Google this guy and check out his website.

John Lindsey  holds the world 6lb tippet record with a 14lb 2oz tank. Fly used; Peal White Popping Bug.

Dennis L Ditmars   holds the world 4lb tippet record with a 9lb 11oz lunker. Fly used; Black Wooly Bugger modified with a black rubber jig tail.
