UN-REAL.
Ships pushed up on land...homes buildings swep away....fires started all over...SO SO sad to see. MAJOR damage & my guess major loss of life as the numbers will come to light...

We are on the "RING OF FIRE" & could get one just like it here on the BC coast.
This is not a video game from Japan BUT reality.....& reality is there is a good chance in our life time we could get hit by the BIG ONE.
Gotta feel for those in New Zeland Haiti & now Japan ......such loss of life & destruction that will take 5-10-20 yrs in some cases to repair....(& or effects) ....plus the suffering & grief of the suffering. :o

Reason ya should not go fishing in the rain  ??? IF ......

quote: "The fear is that the fuel rods do not cool ,they could melt the container that houses the core OR even explode releasing radioactive material into the wind"

The Japanese experts are trying to cool down their damaged nuclear plants with sea water...then hopefully in time they can enclose or encase the entire sites BUT should they not be able to control it...& an explosion occurs RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL will get into the winds & be carried throughout the world.

The winds normally come across the Pacific ocean into N America & should there be rainfall when this radioactive material is present it will bring it on our lands & into the water & soils...produce will have radioactive particles...& it really would get into the milk & dairy...cheese ...as the cows would be eating the grass...ONCE radioactive stuff gets into our bodies basically it gets into the glands & destroys cells...then cancers & all sorts of physical problems !!!

No expert here but do know if the Japanese can not control the problem...& it explodes ...& the radioactive gets into the winds ...
alot of it will come this way & it it rains which it normally does....it will be washed down into our area (land).  Rain is the worst thing when there is radioactive crap in the winds....

LETS JUST HOPE FOR US IN BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA THAT THEY CAN CONTROL THE PROBLEM AT THESE NUCLEAR PLANTS !!!! :o :o :o

Well can not blame ya for thinking it was a new quake...
Seems every few yrs Japan has a major one. Something like...every ten yrs or so... :o

Guess it' s expensive to get earthquake insurance there....
(super expensive here & we have not had a big quake in our parts)
