There are many bass enthusiasts in the Lower Mainland. The West Coast Bass Anglers (http://wcba.forumi.biz) has a forum page where bass fishing is extensively discussed. I am curious to know if bass large mouth and small mouth are an endemic specie here or have they been introduced and is an alien specie.
If they have been introduced, they surely are an invasive specie and in the long term may have an impact adverse to local endemic species.
Apparently they can be found in Fish trap creek and Dyke Lake in Abbotsford, Pitt Marsh and may other waterways. It is scary to think of the consequence if they invade the Vedder and other Salmon and trout rivers.

Do a search on the forum. There are lots and long threads on bass as an invasive species in BC.
